Mechanical Engineering
 
Mechanical Engineering at Strathclyde is one of the largest departments of its type in the UK, with around 500 undergraduate and 80 postgraduate students. It has around 100 academic, research, administrative and technical staff. It is by far the largest of its type in Scotland.

It has the highest independently assessed standing in its discipline in Scotland for both teaching and research. The staff complement covers a wide range of expertise and this is reflected in the research profile and in the portfolio of specialist MEng courses.
