Professor Martin Cave has been awarded an OBE for Public service.
Martin is director of WBS Centre for Management under Regulation. He is an economist specialising in the regulation of sectors such as airports, broadcasting, housing, legal services, posts, telecommunications and water. We all offer him our congratulations.
In a demonstration of its confidence in the future, WBS has announced a £20 million investment in a significant further extension to its facilities. Work will begin early in 2009 and when completed in 2010 will reach across four storeys. The latest phase will provide state of the art teaching and study facilities, including lecture theatres, syndicate and seminar rooms, as well as additional teaching and office space alongside social amenities and a cafeteria for staff and students.
