Department of Geography
Head of Department
Welcome to the Department of Geography
Based in the very heart of London on the College's Strand Campus, ours is one of the most international Geography Departments in the UK. Drawing on the best traditions of Geography as an integrative academic subject, we are committed to research and to teaching that is engaged and interdisciplinary.
With more than 50 academic and research staff, 300 undergraduates, 175 masters students and nearly 100 PhD students, we are a large department with an annual research income of more than £1 million. Despite our size, we pride ourselves on providing a friendly and supportive environment for research and study.
Please feel free to explore our various research and teaching programmes here on the website or drop by to see us in person in our sumptuous new space within the newly refurbished (and Grade I listed) King's Building.
Whether virtual or real, visitors are always welcome.
