Chemical Sciences and Pharmacy
Welcome to Chemical Sciences and Pharmacy
In this we have not only created the first new school of pharmacy in the UK for over 30 years, but also developed a teaching and research environment for both disciplines to thrive both individually and in collaboration.
The School prides itself on its innovative undergraduate degree programmes. We offer a range of imaginative and highly regarded Chemistry courses (MChem and BSc), including industrial placements and studies abroad. The new Pharmacy degree (MPharm) is already acclaimed for its state-of-the-art content and teaching methods.
Student care is important to us, and we operate a comprehensive advisory system to guide students through their chosen course of study. We are delighted that UEA has been named joint top English university for student satisfaction among mainstream English universities in the Student Satisfaction Survey 2006 of UK universities, as well as appearing in the Sunday Times Top 20 UK Universities. We believe this reflects the culture of innovation, student support and professionalism that exists within the university as a whole, and this School in particular.
As you will gather from the research pages of our staff, every part of the School is involved in cutting-edge research activities, having an impressive track record in attracting grants and generating outstanding publications.
We hope you enjoy finding out about the School, its teaching and its research. Click HERE to go to our "Virtual Open Day" and explore our campus from the comfort of your chair.
