Health and Life Sciences is one of five faculties based in Leicester, close to the city centre. The Dean of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is Dr Barry Mitchell. There are around 380 members of staff in the Faculty, organised into four Schools. The Schools of Allied Health Sciences, Applied Social Sciences and Leicester School of Pharmacy are located in the Hawthorn Building on the City Campus. The School of Nursing and Midwifery is located on the Charles Frears campus, which is situated on a very pleasant site some two miles from the City Campus in Leicester. The faculty grouping allows the academic schools to collaborate across the subject boundaries in teaching, consultancy and research. |
