Open Day: Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies

Not sure what to do when you graduate?
Thought about a career in Law?

CONVERSION COURSE OPEN DAY THURSDAY 12 JUNE

The latest Guardian survey of university departments came out last month, and we jumped from 9th last year to 7th this year. We’re the highest rated Law School that offers a conversion programme.

You don’t have to do a 3 year degree to complete the academic stage of legal training in order to become a solicitor or barrister. This stage can be fulfilled by taking the one-year Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies which will satisfy all of the academic requirements to become a solicitor or barrister.

Before you train as a solicitor or barrister, you need to get the best academic grounding, and Birmingham is one of only two “redbrick” universities to offer it.

Birmingham Law School is the perfect place to do the academic stage of legal training. You will be taught in small groups by expert academics in the Law School building right next to the University Clock Tower.

We’re having a special session about the GDLS programme on THURSDAY 12 JUNE between 12 pm and 5pm.

Our Head of School will welcome you, and some of our academics will talk about the programme. We’ll provide refreshments, so come find out if a legal career is for you.

If you’d like to attend, please email GDLS@contacts.bham.ac.uk or ring Ellen on 0121 414 6312
