This section of our website is designed to explain the application process, and to provide access to our new online application service, which is the recommended means of applying for most postgraduate programmes at Cardiff University. A note about start dates:

With some exceptions, most postgraduate programmes at Cardiff University start in October each year, with enrolment in late September. However, some taught courses do have different intakes, and research degrees are more flexible; the University allows research programmes to start on one of the following dates: October 1^st, January 1^st, April 1^st, July 1^st (subject to the approval of the academic school concerned).
