Human Resource Management and Organisational
Behaviour Research Group
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVIOUR
is an interdisciplinary Social Science research group based in Loughborough
University Business School. The group brings together Psychologists, Sociologists
and others interested in the field of 'people management' issues. By operating
across the boundaries of conventional academic disciplines and between
the boundaries of applied and fundamental research, the group makes a
distinctive contribution to knowledge and practice. The group conducts
research in three key areas:

The group's output ranges from traditional academic scholarship
to work with a significant impact on public policy and management training.

Group members have collaborative links with other leading researchers

- Peter Ackers has undertaken work with the Indian
Institute of Management;
- Marek Korczynski’s collaboration with the University
of New South Wales, Australia has resulted in the publication of a major
study of international service employment;
- International careers research occurs with colleagues
in Hong Kong (John Arnold) and New Zealand (Laurie Cohen); Healthcare
projects also include New Zealand (John Loan-Clarke);
- Alistair Cheyne conducts safety climate research
with University of Valencia collaborators
