Meeting us to talk through your options is a great way to get advice on your own situation and aspirations for a postgraduate programme; it is also a good chance to find out more about the School, University and City of Manchester.

Take a look at the following options to meet us and let us know if you need more information.

Postgraduate Open Day

Wednesday 26 November

1.30pm – 4pm

This event gives you the opportunity to discover more about the postgraduate study opportunities available at the School of Materials.

Presentations - including company presentations

Head of School: Professor Robert Young will outline the postgraduate opportunities available in the School and introduce you to key postgraduate staff.

Current students: Our current students will deliver short presentations on their experiences of postgraduate study.

Companies: Last year, Lloyd's Register, BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, AVA CAD Design Print Systems, TechniTex and Corus all attended the event and outlined why they value employees with postgraduate experience.

Informal networking session

A networking session will run after the presentations allowing you to meet with current students, key staff and company personnel informally over a drink and light refreshments.
