Drama Division

We offer two courses: MA Writing for Performance and MA Ensemble Physical Theatre. The culture of the department is one of hard work, fun, collaboration, investigation and exploration. Students are part of a creative community based in the department and extending through the region and beyond, both nationally and internationally. Members of the community include visiting artists, lecturers and the students' own peer group who develop and investigate work both inside and outside of the curriculum. Huddersfield boasts one of the best resourced drama departments in Europe. Housed in a vast converted Victorian church building, the performance and other work spaces are architecturally spectacular and supremely flexible.
