Department of Chemical Engineering

The Department is a busy research community, made up of established academic staff, research students, post-doctoral workers and visitors, drawn from all over the world. Our research students usually undertake projects leading to the PhD degree, but there are also opportunities to carry out an advanced research project as part of an MSc degree.

Much of our work involves collaboration with industry and / or partnership with another university research organisation or institute, in the UK and throughout Europe. The Department has high quality laboratory facilities and services for both bench scale and pilot scale experimental work. These are complemented by excellent computational and information technology resources.
