Institution: University of Birmingham The Humanities Graduate School boasts more than 300 graduate students, over 100 of them overseas students, who are following either MA (taught) or research postgraduate courses (MPhil(B), MPhil, Mlitt, PhD). We are located in 3 main sites, the main campus in Birmingham, the Centre for English Language Studies at Westmere (in Birmingham) and of course the Shakespeare Institute based in Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon. We have over 130 lecturing and research staff in the School, all of whom offer supervisory expertise in a wide variety of Humanities subjects: the Centre for European Languages & Cultures (CELC) which houses French, German, Hispanic and Italian Studies, Drama and Theatre Arts, English and also Music.
