Doctoral Training Centre

The Chemical Biology Centre Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) is the result of the lifesciences interface programme set up by the EPSRC to 'empower the engineering and physical sciences communities to engage with the life sciences.'

The centre, aims to train a minimum of 10 physical scientists per year to work on biological problems via a four year programme. In the first year students will qualify for an MRes In Protein and Membrane Chemical Biology, followed by a three year PhD. All four years will be administered by Imperial College.

The central theme to the projects being carried out is to analyse the composition, dynamics and structure of membranes and proteins engaged in the varied processes of cellular signalling.
