School of Environment and Life Sciences

Located centrally in cosmopolitan Manchester, we have a long tradition of high quality teaching and research - both biological and environmental. The School of Environment & Life Sciences attracts students from around the world to both taught masters and research degrees. Taught courses are grouped in the following clusters: Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Environmental Health and Safety, and Geographical Information Systems. All are 1-year courses, with two terms of teaching followed by a research dissertation, and are also available on a part-time basis. One-year research masters and three-year PhD programmes are also available across the full range of disciplines in the School.
