The School of Biological Sciences is an internationally competitive centre for Bioscience Research and a provider of high-quality education in the life sciences and its emerging interfaces.
The research interests within the School cover a wide variety of areas, with significant interdisciplinary research collaborations within the School and in the University including medicine, environmental sciences and the physical and engineering sciences.
A major component of the University investment programme in Biosciences will be the new Institute for Life Sciences (IfLS) to be completed by 2009 on the Highfield Campus.
