Institution: University of Dundee The Division has almost 50 academic staff, 50 post-doctoral fellows, 45 PhD students and 32 technical and clerical staff. Funding comes from a wide variety of sources. The remit of research in the Division is broad, and includes cancer and cancer/cell biology, human and clinical genetics, pathology, neuroscience, mucosal biology and immunology. The College has a strong PhD training programme. This ensures that in addition to their research, postgraduate students receive strong training in communication skills, research methods, computer literacy etc. All of the Division's research activity was rated 5 or 5* at RAE 2001.
