The Department of Geography, King’s College London offers Departmental Bursaries valued at £1,000 for UK/EU and £2,000 for overseas scholars. These prestigious awards are made on a competitive basis for the support of students without existing studentship support applying for full-time taught postgraduate programmes offered in the Department of Geography. This master's course provides an advanced foundation in risk studies. It provides an interdisciplinary education in risk, enabling students to undertake further research or enter into careers in risk assessment, management or communication. It aims to develop and nurture the intellectual and analytical skills of each student to allow them to conceptualise risk problems, gather information, critically analyse data and information, critically evaluate risk management options and develop reflexive communication strategies. The distinction between MSc and MA arises from the courses taken and the nature of the dissertation.
