Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology

With a 5* (Research Assessment Exercise) rating and a Teaching Quality Assessment of 22/24, the Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology is interested in the science and engineering relevant to the technology of the process industries. Research interests include: technological studies of the behaviour of processes and equipment; fundamental scientific study of the underlying physical and chemical phenomena and the development of techniques for planning, design and control of processes.

The teaching and research laboratories are exceptionally well equipped and fully backed by comprehensive technical services. First-class computing facilities are provided.
