Birmingham Law School![]() Subjects: Law
Institution: University of Birmingham We are a research-led Law School committed to teaching of the highest quality. We regard research and teaching as inextricably linked and mutually reinforcing. We are distinctive because of: - the quality of our staff, who are regular contributors to the academic literature and national and international policy-making processes; We will be hosting a LAW CONVERSION COURSE OPEN DAY on 12 JUNE 2008 The latest Guardian survey of university departments came out last month, and Birmingham Law School jumped from 9th to 7th this year. University of Birmingham has the highest rated Law School offering a Law conversion programme for graduate students. You don’t have to do a 3 year degree to complete the academic stage of legal training required before you can train as a solicitor or barrister. This can be fulfilled by taking the one-year Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies which will satisfy all of the academic requirements. Before you train, you need to get the best academic grounding, and Birmingham is one of only two “redbrick” universities to offer it to graduate students. You will be taught in small groups by expert academics in the Law School building right next to the University Clock Tower at the heart of our green campus. Find out more at our Open Day: THURSDAY 12 JUNE 2008. 12.15 pm, Birmingham Law School, University of Birmingham If you’d like to attend, please email GDLS@contacts.bham.ac.uk or ring Ellen on 0121 414 6312 Full details: http://www.law.bham.ac.uk/news/gdls-open-day.shtml Contact detailsBirmingham Law School University of Birmingham Edgbaston Birmingham B15 2TT United Kingdom Tel: 0121 414 3637 Fax: 0121 414 3585 Email: Law@bham.ac.uk Website: http://www.law.bham.ac.uk General funding sourcesFor general sources of funding that may apply for study in this department, visit the page(s) below. |
