Funding

The Alice Noakes Charitable Trust has provided four bursaries to support UK students wishing to study the MSc Animal Biology Welfare or MSc Animal Production and Nutrition courses at Writtle College (see separate advertisements on PostgraduateStudentships.co.uk). UK graduates must hold an honours degree at 2.2 or above in a related discipline. Applicants who have successfully secured an offer may apply for a bursary which provides full or partial funding of tuition fees. The bursaries will be awarded on a competitive basis and applications will be considered by a panel chaired by the Head of School. The Trust was established with an animal welfare focus in East Anglia. Therefore, the criteria for selection of the successful recipients will reflect this welfare and regional emphasis. The closing date for bursary applications is 18 July 2008. Successful applicants will be notified by 18 August 2008.

Funding for International Students
The College is eligible to nominate the best pg international student applications for a Marshall Papworth
award. International students must first apply and be accepted on the masters programme. Details of the best students are then forwarded on to the Marshall Papworth Trust who make the final selection from applications received from all elligible Universities and Colleges. Students must show both academic strength but also need to
demonstrate how they will influence rural development in their home countries and "use their knowledge for the benefit of their Countrymen". More information is available from:
