MRC Institute of Hearing Research, Nottingham
Medical Research Council
The Institute of Hearing Research (IHR) is a centre for multidisciplinary research into hearing and hearing disorders. IHR offers up to five MRC-funded PhD studentships per year, which are available for a wide range of projects. A PhD at IHR provides specialist training in a wide variety of technical and methodological skills, such as neurophysiology, neuroimaging and computational methods, and thus opens the door to a wide range of career opportunities.
For 2011, we offer 4 studentships for a choice of 6 projects in the areas of Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology and Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
A detailed description of each project, as well as information on how to apply can be found on our website at www.ihr.mrc.ac.uk/postgraduates.
