PhD Studentship - Alkaline Membrane Fuel Cells, School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials

Applications are invited for this EPSRC supported project. The candidate will join a team of researchers investigating alkaline membrane fuel cells. These fuel cells are an emerging technology which offers significant advantages over current low temperature polymer electrolyte fuel cells.

Person Specification
We are seeking a highly motivated student with a good Honours degree in material/polymer science; chemistry; chemical engineering or a related area, and/or an MSc degree in science and engineering. The candidate should have good numeric and experimental skills to perform fundamental studies on membrane and catalysts for fuel cell tests and electrochemical applications, and must also be a resident of the European Union.

Value of the Award
The studentship includes the cost of PhD registration fees and provides a stipend at the standard EPSRC rate.
