The School aims to link policy and practice, theory and action, via research disseminated through undergraduate, postgraduate and professional study programmes, seminars, conferences and consultancies. The School brings together the academic excellence and policy expertise of around 62 academic staff in four specialist Research Centres: Urban Studies, Poverty and Social Justice, Health and Social Care, and Child and Family Welfare.
There are currently 407 home and overseas students studying here - 214 undergraduates, 70 postgraduates and 123 professional students. The School encourages students from a wide range of backgrounds, creating a lively and diverse environment for study and research.
