This interdisciplinary programme provides training in mathematical and computational methods for scientific investigation. Students gain a thorough grounding in concepts of scientific computing, modern programming, mathematical and theoretical methods, followed by options including information theory, advanced mathematics, and modelling of materials and biomolecules.
MSc in Molecular Modelling:
This programme, run solely by the School of Chemistry, is a unique course in the UK, designed to encompass all aspects of modern molecular simulation from first principles theories in quantum and statistical mechanics to applications in the design of new drugs and materials.
