Department of Economics

The Department of Economics is part of the College of Social Sciences, which includes The Birmingham Business School, The School of Education and The School of Applied Social Studies/Social Policy. We have about thirty academics,six administrative staff and forty five research students. We have strong links with several overseas universities, including, Berlin, Bordeaux, Essen, Limoges, Nankai and the Sorbonne. We have full recognition by the Economic and Social Research Council.
