College of Humanities

We are a large interdisciplinary College carrying out research and teaching across Archaeology, Classics and Ancient History, Drama, English, Film Studies, History, Modern Languages, Theology and Religion. All our eligible staff submitted to the Research Assessment Exercise (2008) and 91 per cent of our research was assessed as either of world-leading or of international quality. We have an outstanding record in generating research income and offer excellent postgraduate funding awards and facilities.
