A PhD from the MOAC Doctoral Training Centre at Warwick University equips you with a multidisciplinary skills set and enables you to undertake a challenging PhD project at the interface between physical and life sciences, whether your first degree is in the mathematical, physical, chemical, computational or biological sciences. Scientific researchers as well as the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and food industries are increasingly looking for PhD graduates who can operate confidently at the interface of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology. The MOAC programme equips you for such a career.

If you are an excellent students with a background in any science discipline and you are interested in research at the physical/life sciences interface then apply to Warwick for the MOAC PhD programme. The programme comprises a one-year MSc in Mathematical Biology and Biophysical Chemistry followed by a three-year multidisplinary PhD research project supervised by scientists from at least two departments. Current research themes include experimental design and model building or instrumentation design and development for application to DNA-protein complexes; fibrous proteins; membrane proteins and analytical neurosciences.
