Liverpool John Moores University

Subjects:

Whether you are studying for a taught Masters course, or embarking on a research degree, Liverpool John Moores University can offer you a supportive academic environment, well structured programmes and access to extensive specialist resources.

Over 90% of our full time postgraduate students are in full time employment within six months of completing their programme – this is higher than the national average for postgraduate students from other UK universities. Our postgraduate programmes are delivered by academics involved in innovative research. Many are also engaged in exciting consultancy projects ensuring that our degrees are kept up-to-date and secure accreditation by key professional bodies.

LJMU stands apart from other universities in the UK because of links with employers operating in all sectors of the economy. Through exciting research and consultancy projects we are strengthening links with organisations ranging from small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to international corporations. With over 20 areas of international or national research excellence, you can be confident that whatever postgraduate programme you follow your studies will be informed by the latest research and development in the area.

Around 85% of our academic staff are actively pursuing research, providing the necessary intellectual infrastructure for high quality teaching and knowledge transfer.

Liverpool John Moores University’s new Graduate Development Centre (GDC) offers a range of services to help you gain the skills experiences and confidence you will need to succeed as professionals after you graduate. As a postgraduate student our aim is to bring you closer to the world of work.

The Centre will support you in developing a variety of World of Work or ‘WoW’ skills that are valued by employers and will help you stand out from the competition.

Postgraduate taught programmes
MA, MSc, MBA, MEnt, LLM, PGCE, PgDiploma, PgCertificate, CPD

Our postgraduate certificates and diplomas can enable you to change disciplines, upgrade knowledge, or take a first step towards a masters degree when your existing qualifications do not permit direct entry.

Named routes have been validated in Sports Science, Health and Applied Social Sciences, Art and Design History, Curatorial Practice, Sonic Arts, Maritime Studies, and Literature and Cultural History.
