• Dissection of the genetic control of drought tolerance in red clover using translational genomics.

• Cellular and molecular characterisation of senescence in the energy grass Miscanthus.

• Manipulation of lignin in the energy grass Miscanthus.

Candidates should possess or expect to obtain a first or upper second class honours degree in an appropriate biological science subject. To be eligible candidates must be able to demonstrate a relevant connection to the UK at the date of application.

Terms and Conditions:
Stipend : £12,600 pa with payments made quarterly in advance.
The stipend is revalorised annually on 1 October
Tuition Fees : Will be paid in full by the funding body for UK and EU students
Holidays : Not more than 8 weeks per annum including public and
