POSTGRADUATE TUITION FEE BURSARIES

The Department of History is pleased to be able to offer a number of bursaries equivalent to the value of fees for full-time home/EU postgraduate students.
In order to be considered you must have already been offered a place on one of our programmes. Please state clearly on your applications form that you wish to be considered for a tuition fee bursary. Applications will be ranked according to academic merit by the Departmental Research Committee. Award holders will be notified in August 2008.

Student Eligibility

Students applying for entry to a taught postgraduate programme wishing to be considered for a bursary should mark clearly on their University application form that they wish to be considered for a tutition fee bursary.
The Departments hopes that the successful postgraduate Masters students will wish to continue to PhD study within the Department and bursary students will be given every support in applying for external research funding, including the highly competitive AHRC and ESRC studentship schemes.

Submission Deadline

You must submit your application for admission to our postgraduate programme before 31 July 2008. Normally only applications which have been fully processed and students who have been offered admission on a conditional or unconditional basis by 31 July 2008 will be considered for a departmental bursary.

Bursary applications will be considered by the Departmental Research Committee.
