The School of Languages, Linguistics and Culture is pleased to offer a number of bursaries to successful applicants to the MA programmes across the School including the following:
• Applied Linguistics
• Bilingualism
• European Cultures
• Intercultural Communication for Business and Profession
• Japanese Cultural Studies/Creative Industries Studies
• Modern French Studies
• Modern German Studies
• Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Cultural Studies
What it covers
The bursary is worth up to £500 and will take the form of a fee reduction for the MA programmes starting in September 2008.
Who is eligible
Bursaries are awarded on academic merit and are open to both full-time and part-time applicants from the UK/EU and overseas. To be eligible applicants must have received an unconditional offer from the relevant programme by 22nd September. Holders of conditional offers must have met the conditions by this date.

- There is no application form for the bursaries. Those wishing to apply should indicate their intention to apply on the finance section of the application form by writing down 'School Postgraduate Bursary'. Successful applicants will be notified at the start of the academic year.
