Probe Scientific Ltd and Cranfield University are undertaking a collaborative research programme in the field of biofluid analysis and have a vacancy for a highly motivated science or engineering graduate. Cranfield University is an excellent environment for solidly extending the breadth and depth of one's knowledge. The work is aimed at developing, through groundbreaking innovation, novel optically-based (bio)chemical sensors for the clinical analysis of human blood using Probe Scientific's micro blood sampling device. The result should be a real time patient monitoring system that will satisfy currently unmet clinical needs, improving patient care and reducing health-care costs.

Suitable applicants will normally have a first class or 2:1 UK Honours degree, or equivalent, in chemical engineering, optics or a related discipline. Knowledge of materials and biochemistry is also desirable. Relevant experience will also be taken into account.
