This MSc is run by one of the most distinguished academic rheumatology departments in the UK, part of the highly rated School of Medicine which has a strong focus on excellence in patient-centred research and training.
The course is designed for doctors and allied health professionals specialising in rheumatology. Participants will gain a good understanding of scientific and clinical rheumatology. They will also acquire a wide range of research skills and have the chance to design and conduct their own research project.
The modular programme is held fortnightly throughout the academic year. It covers basic concepts in immunology, genetics and cell biology and the scientific and clinical basis of rheumatic diseases. Participants also undertake a systematic literature review and a research project.
Clinical attachments at hospitals attached to Kings College London may be available for medical practitioners not working within the UK.
