Our MSc in Nanotechnology is designed for graduates from the physical sciences and relevant engineering disciplines who wish to embark on a career in this exciting arena, either in academia, the private or financial sectors, or in new start-up ventures. The degree course constitutes specifically designed modules run jointly by the UCL Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, the UCL Department of Physics & Astronomy and the London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN), which is a new UK based multidisciplinary enterprise.
You will be learning from the experts in the Nanotechnology field as part of the course you will be undertaking a research project as well as modules in Business Enterprise in Nanotechnology and Nanotechnology in Society. The programme is offered mainly as a one-year full-time course although a two-year part-time course is also possible.

Four full EPSRC studentships are awarded for UK students on a competitive basis. These pay UK students fees and provide a full stipend (EPSRC stipend rate in 2007/8 was £14,951, and may be increased for the coming year). For EU students, only fees are paid.
