CIC biomaGUNE
The Biophysics group at the Cooperative research centre for Biomaterials (CIC BiomaGUNE, San Sebastian) has an opening for a student with a biology, biochemistry, or biomaterials background to work on the interactions between blood components and inorganic materials. The position is for 1 – 1.5 years; possible extension will depend on the funding situation and candidate’s performance. As such, the position could be ideal for a student wishing to take a year off for gaining some hands-on research experience, or a recent graduate; it could also be extended/converted into an M.Sc. research project. Further information about the group can be found at http://personal.cicbiomagune.com/ireviakine/index.htm
The institute is located in the beautiful city of San Sebastian in the north-west of Spain, on the coast of the Bay of Biscay. Thanks to the generous funding from the Department of Industry, Technology & Innovation of the Government of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, it boasts superb research facilities—some of the best currently available in Europe—and a diverse international team of researchers. The working language in the institute is English.
