MSc World Heritage Management

The Masters course in World Heritage Management is intended for managers responsible for World Heritage sites and equivalent protected areas. It is a multi-disciplinary programme designed to provide the theoretical and practical basis for the conservation and management of the world’s natural heritage. The programme introduces a comprehensive programme of education and training in World Heritage Management augmented with a range of subjects in the areas of project management, marketing, sustainable development, conflict resolution and environmental interpretation. This programme attracts students from all over the world and has produced outstanding graduates over the years; many now fill leading roles in the conservation and management of critical natural habitats or cultural monuments in their home countries.

Entry requirements:

Applicants must have a university degree (except in exceptional circumstances).

Language requirements:

Applicants should have a minimum score of 550 TOEFL (213 computer based) or 6.0 IELTS. Other evidence of proficiency in English may be accepted such as the Cambridge Certificate.

Class size is limited to 20 graduates

2008/09 Fees: EU €6,100 (full-time); International €12, 200 (full-time).
