Middlesex University is a leading London university with a reputation for high quality teaching and research that makes a real difference to people’s lives. We have more than 130 years experience in higher education, and are recognised for our innovation, excellence, and international reach.

This creates a diverse learning environment that gives you the international knowledge, insight and cultural understanding you need to compete in a global job market.

- The most recent Research Assessment Exercise found 77% of our research to be ‘internationally recognised’
- Queen’s Award for Enterprise received in 2011
- Middlesex is a centre of excellence for teacher education with all teacher education rated good or very good by OFSTED
- We are national leaders in work based learning – a rigorous system for rewarding professional achievement with academic credits.

Career focused courses

All of our postgraduate courses are developed and structured with the goal of enabling you to develop professionally in the UK or overseas. Many of our academic staff are also practitioners in their own right and they work closely with employers to ensure our courses are aligned with industry needs and provide you with the opportunity to connect with the professional world.
Many of our courses are accredited by professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, the British Psychological Society, the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, the Training and Development Agency and the Institution of Engineering Designers.

Dedicated staff

Our academic staff are leaders in their field and are dedicated to supporting you to unlock your talent and skills, providing you with opportunities to learn and develop your career. Our staff combine research and teaching excellence in their field with a commitment to supporting you throughout your course.

In addition to the support of your teachers we also have a wide range of specialist staff providing you with help and advice, including with study skills, financial advice and disability support.

Outstanding campuses and facilities

We have invested over £180 million creating world class, industry standard facilities and one of the best campus learning environments in London, including a purpose-built library and learning resources centre, the addition of the striking Rickett Quadrangle at Hendon and teaching and research laboratories for science and technology. New state-of-the-art gym facilities, cafes and a student bar have all been recently added to our campuses.

The Grove, our £80 million centre for art, design and media, is the UK’s largest investment in creative industries education. Described by the Greater London Authority as a ‘world class’ design, the facility features art and design studios and workshops with the latest technologies, digital media labs, photographic studios, digital and traditional darkrooms and a Sony-designed and equipped TV studio.
