Nottingham Trent University MSc Research Methods studentship: Motorcyclist safety and behaviour research

Postgraduate Opportunities

Nottingham Trent University

Nottingham Trent University have secured a funded studentship from the Derby and Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership (www.saferderbyshire.gov.uk/our_priorities/road_safety/) to research motorcyclist safety and behaviour. The studentship will cover the full cost of the tuition fees and you will evaluate the success of intervention methods implemented by the Road Safety Partnership, with the aim of reducing the number of people killed and injured on Derbyshire’s roads.

You will undertake the project as part of the MSc Research Methods, an ESRC-accredited course designed to develop an academic and practical understanding of social science research that is valuable to numerous professions.

The studentship therefore provides an excellent opportunity for anybody interested in postgraduate research. You will gain funding for this Masters qualification whilst carrying out real-world research in collaboration with a policy-shaping organisation. You will also be encouraged to consider further options for research at PhD level.
