Africa Educational Trust

The fund is administered for African students who have run into unexpected financial difficulties during the final months of their course. The goal of the Small Grants Programme is to enable African students to complete their course and to return home. Students are then able to put to effective use the skills and education gained whilst studying in the UK to assist in the growth and development of their own countries.

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Applicants must come from Africa and be studying in the UK on a student’s visa
• The financial difficulty must be unexpected
• The student must be in the final four months of his/her study
• All applications must be supported in writing by the student’s supervisor, tutor or head of course
