Associated Board International Scholarships

Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music
ABRSM offer a total of four international postgraduate scholarships each academic year; one at each of the four Royal Schools of Music.
These awards are offered in connection with, and on the recommendation of, each of the Royal Schools of Music.

To be eligible for an ABRSM International Scholarship:
- You must be a national of a country that is not in the European Union (EU)
- You should not have been living and/or studying in the UK for more than a year preceding 31st January in the year of entry to the course. For example, if you were starting your course in September 2009, you could not have been living or studying in the UK for a year or more before 31st January 2009
- You must be at least 21 years, on 31st January in the year of entry to the course
The international scholarship provides full payment of tuition fees for the duration of the course, a grant of £5000 towards living costs (usually paid in termly instalments) and a flight home on satisfactory completion of the course.

To apply for an ABRSM International Scholarship you must complete an eligibility form. Alternatively, you can provide your full postal address and we will send a printed form.
Students should then complete an International Scholarships Eligibility Form and post this directly to the Associated Boards office (see contact details).
You will need to follow the audition procedures of the individual Royal School(s) that you apply to; you will not be required to do a separate audition for an ABRSM International Scholarship.The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music
