
African Wildlife Foundation
The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) invests in training and scholarship opportunities every year with the goal of enhancing the effectiveness and impact of African nationals in the fields relevant to conservation and sustainable development through the increased knowledge, skills, and credentials obtained through an advanced degree.
Charlotte Conservation Fellowships provide support for African nationals pursuing masters degree courses or doctoral research.
All applicants must:
1. be nationals of the countries where AWF works (see Funding Notes)
2. be 21-40 years of age.
3. have secured a place at an appropriate university. Students that will study in African Universities will have an added advantage.
4. Have exemplary work experience that indicates a commitment to conservation.
5. have a field research plan, which has a direct link or is relevant to AWF and host country Conservation needs.
6. have outstanding motivation and commitment to conservation in Africa.
7. have the desire to remain working in African conservation.

Citizens of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Mozambique and Botswana are eligible to apply.
