School of Mathematics

Subjects:  |

The School of Mathematics is situated in the James Clerk Maxwell Building on the King's Buildings site, south of the city centre. There are over 50 academic and research staff and around 50 research students. The School offers a taught MSc in Operational Research (OR), with the following three themed variants: OR with Risk, OR with Finance and OR with Computational Optimization. The latter degree reflects the OR group's world class standing in this area. Financial support for students allows tuition fees of most EU students to be funded, as well as studentships for the better-qualified UK students. The School offers similar support to postgraduate research students in Pure and Applied Mathematics, Operational Research and Statistics.
