The School of Geography is a leading international centre of postgraduate teaching and research. This course is one of the first of its kind in the UK, taught by world-leading academic experts. It is designed to develop environmental leaders who can generate positive change by addressing today’s most pressing environmental challenges and creating strategies to tackle future problems.

This course will enhance your personal capacities to lead, give you a deep understanding of the key environmental and sustainability challenges facing the world today, and develop your environmental problem-solving skills. It will also help you forge the networks required to deliver practical environmental solutions and enable you to engage with experienced environmental leaders from industry and commerce.

You can specialise in a specific area of environmental challenge that aligns with your personal career aspirations, such as climate risk, water resources, urbanisation or sustainable ecosystems.
