What you can Advertise

NEW! Button and Banner options:

Increased demand has led us to create new advertising opportunities on the site: we have added a new 'run-of site' banner in the left hand bar, and new Subject Section Buttons will be available from 1 May. Our full range is listed below:

NEW Run of site banner - left bar
Appears in the left hand column of all pages on the site: we have a maximum of 3 spaces available, ensuring prominence for advertisers choosing this space. 125 x 125 pixels. Available now: introductory price £125 per month.

NEW Subject Section Buttons
Separate buttons can now be booked individually in each of our main subject sections, showing on the chosen subject main browse page, and all browse pages within that section, down the right hand side, in the same position as Front Page buttons. Maximum 10 ads, all of which show on all pages within the relevant subject section, rotating evenly but randomly through the vertical subject positions. 120 x 60 pixels. Introductory offer for a limited period only: £40 per main subject area, per month. Available from 1 May.

Front Page Buttons
Front Page Buttons offer appear on several key pages of the site:
- in the right hand column of the home page
- on the main 'All subjects' page, and on the main 'All Subjects' PhD and Masters listing pages
- on general information pages for students, which have high viewing figures.
Front page buttons currently cost only £75 per month. Maximum 10 buttons at any one time, all showing on all relevant pages. 120 x 60 pixels. Buttons rotate equally but randomly through the vertical positions.

Run of site top banners - top
Banners appear across the top of every page on the site - we have a maximum of 3 banners showing at any one time. 468x60 pixels. £125 per month.

To check availability of all the button or banner slots described above, please contact us. We can design simple buttons or banners for you - the cost for this service is generally around £50-£100. Please contact us for details.

Free Departmental Descriptions:

You can register your Department for free and add a brief general overview of the postgraduate provision in your Department. If you have specific funding or study opportunities, you can advertise them for just £45 for a single advert, and we offer discounts if you have more to list (see our Package Costs page). When you register your Department, we'll add a link on your Departmental page to the general funding that could apply for study in the subjects you select - this link will be displayed under the links to your own advertisements, as an additional source of information for students who want to study with you.

NEW! Featured Departments

You can now add a Long Department profile, which lasts for a year and includes a picture, for just £200 for 12 months. To book the Featured Department slot on the home page of the site, please contact us for availability: £30 per week, available to Departments with a Long Department profile only.

The Long Departmental Profile will allow you to expand on the environment, facilities, teaching and support your Department offers to postgraduates. You can describe the types of funding typically available from your Department in general terms, but please note that the Profile cannot be used to advertise specific opportunities.

Basic Advertisement Packages:

Our Basic Advertisement Package consists of tokens which you can then use to create and publish an advert giving details of your funding or study opportunities. See the general funding adverts already on the site for an idea of the layout and format of our adverts. Each advertisement includes a free institutional logo which will be automatically added to your advert on publication (although you will not be able to see it when you are creating you advert initially). Our aim is to give you as much control over the advertising process as possible, so you can purchase and create these basic advertisements online, as soon as you have registered.

Basic Advertisements can be bought as single tokens, or in packages of 5, 10, 20 or 50 Advertisement tokens. You can then use the tokens to create basic adverts using the simple step-by-step process on your My Account page.

Single Advert tokens cost just £45. You can buy as many as you need in the appropriate package to get the maximum discount and use them over the next six months.

Feature your studentships and courses adverts on the home page for just £15 per week

A popular and proven advert enhancement, this ensures your ad is retained on the home page of the site for a specified period - available on our standard PhD, Professional Doctorate and Masters level ads. Contact us to check availability.

Add Student Profiles for only £25 each

Knowing how popular student profiles are in prospectuses, we have now added this option to the site, so you can upload your favourite student profiles (picture and text), link them to whichever of your ads you choose, and they remain on the site for up to a year. If you don't currently have any ads showing, they will show on your Departmental summary page, and will be visible within the Student Profiles section that can be accessed from the Home page and main subject pages.

Open Days

You can now advertise your postgraduate fairs and open days on the site for just £25 per advert. You can buy tokens and create ads from your Account page in the same way as for a Basic Advertisement and your institutional logo is included. See our Open Days section on the home page of the site.

Advert Enhancements

All Basic Advertisements, Open Day adverts and Student Profiles automatically include a free 'mini-logo' which will appear on the search and browse listing results. So every time your advertisements show in a search listing, they will stand out and potential students will be able to identify them quickly. You can also feature extra logos on your adverts (£20 per logo per ad) if you want to include the logo of a funder or a collaborative partner. Please contact us to find out how.
