About us
The University of South Wales is one of the largest universities in the UK, offering students excellent opportunities and prospects. We’re a valued partner of some of the world’s leading companies and major public sector employers, making us an ideal choice for professionals who want to further their careers.

We have campuses throughout south Wales, in Pontypridd, Newport and Cardiff. Our campuses have excellent transport links and flexible study options, so it’s easy to fit part-time or higher-level study around your existing commitments, such as work or family.

Courses
We offer an exceptional range of subjects and courses at every level, from Postgraduate Certificate to PhD. Lots of these courses start in February, as well as September.

Many of our courses can be studied part-time, while others are available through distance learning or 'block' teaching format. The University also has extensive e-learning facilities, so you can access information whenever it suits you.

Employability
We’re dedicated to professional, employment-focused education. Our range of higher level qualifications can help you take the next step in your career and improve your employment prospects.

We create a bridge between industry and academia, reflecting and recreating the demands of industry in our academic programmes. We offer opportunities to apply what you learn – whether through case studies, a project based in industry, on your workplace, or a field course.

Professional links
We work in consultation with industry in the UK and overseas to ensure our teaching is informed by practice and that our graduates are equipped for the demands of the workplace.

We deliver courses on behalf of many professional bodies, such as the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

Research
The University is a powerhouse in applied research and innovation, which provides solutions to problems and shapes major decisions that affect society, culture and the economy.

You’ll be taught by lecturers who are national and international experts, giving your education an added distinction.

Overall, half our research is rated world-leading or internationally excellent in the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF2014).We are among UK leaders in many fields, including the creative industries, social policy, and sports and exercise sciences.

Investment
Our continued investment in facilities means we’re a leader in simulated learning environments. These include a mock tribunal room, state-of-the-art trading room, a crime scene house and a clinical simulation suite.

Plus, through e-learning technologies, we can help you make time for your study, wherever and whenever suits you.

Funding your studies
Funding is a big factor when deciding whether to undertake further study. We have a team of specialist advisers who can help you make sense of it all. Read the fees and funding information on our website to find out more.
