The MA in Education offers a strong foundation for careers in a range of educational settings, both public and private, in the UK or abroad. The course is designed for ‘Highly skilled Education Professionals’ such as teachers, lecturers, educational managers, and leaders in a variety of educational contexts including schools, colleges, universities, the military, and nursing. The MA in Education aims to develop the knowledge, understanding, skills and professional values of participants engaged with education and/or training settings. It seeks to further enhance your ability to apply scholarship, theory and research to relevant UK and international contexts and use critical reflection and analysis as a means for enhancing your professional practice.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your initiative and decision-making in complex and unpredictable situations. You will develop these skills by understanding the key debates at the forefront of the field of Education and employ underpinning theory to evaluate and improve your own judgement, professional practice, and development.
