Our MSc Forensic Biology and Investigation course will develop your skills in the examination of biological evidence and DNA from crime scenes. You’ll gain hands-on experience with biological evidence, body fluids, wildlife crime, DNA extraction and amplification. You'll have access to our excellent facilities, including crime scene houses and forensic taphonomy laboratory.
You will learn how to evaluate this evidence and present it in a legal context. You will even have the chance to practice this in our moot courtroom.
An honours undergraduate degree (2:2 or above) in a relevant subject
For applicants where English is a second language, IELTS 6.0 with no component score less than 5.5
On completion of the MSc Forensic Biology and Investigation, you will be ready for a career in forensic science. You can specialise in biological evidence, DNA, blood pattern analysis or criminal investigation.
