The PGCert in Obesity Management promotes evidence-based practice using the latest scientific and clinical research.
Our course prepares you to deal with the complexity of an overweight and obese population. You'll learn to take a compassionate approach to supporting people requiring obesity care.
The PGCert will explore excess weight and the associated health issues in an overweight and obese population.
Applicants admitted onto the course will meet at least one of the following requirements
Must have completed a relevant qualification for example in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation or Strength and Conditioning
Be actively engaged in or access professional experience in a Sports and Exercise Medicine practice in order to support learning within the programme
Be actively engaged in Public Health service development or service delivery
All applicants must have sufficient competency in English Language (IELTS 6.0 with no component score lower than 5.)
All suitable applicants will be interviewed. Interview procedures and decisions regarding applications will be conducted within the University’s policies on equal opportunities and admissions
