Masters Degree Description

Become an inspirational and inclusive secondary teacher in Mathematics– developing your subject knowledge, creative skills and professional experience to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Please note, this course will close for international applicants on Friday 27th March 2026. This course will close for home applicants on Friday 17th July 2026.

This course equips you with the subject knowledge and teaching approaches to help learners build confidence, develop mathematical thinking and solve problems effectively. You’ll explore research-informed strategies and inclusive practices while constructing your own professional identity. As part of a strong maths teaching network, you’ll receive the support and practical experience needed to thrive in the classroom.

Entry Requirements

An honours degree in mathematics or relevant subject (normally 2.2 or above) or equivalent.
Normally GCSE grade C or Grade 4 in English Language and mathematics, or equivalent. Where applicants have achieved a GCSE grade 4 or above in English literature only, we will look for further evidence of a breadth of achievement in English. We will consider applicants who are in the process of obtaining the relevant GCSEs.
