Discover our new MSc in Culture, Justice and Environment programme, a unique academic endeavour that explores human-environment relationships, their historical and cultural contexts, and the political and economic factors affecting them.

You'll benefit from:

  1. Collaborative and dialogic approach: think creatively about possible solutions in conversation with cognate disciplines such as geography, political ecology, international development, international history, philosophy and the environmental humanities more broadly.
  2. Diverse optional courses: choose from a wide array of optional courses spanning anthropology, economic history, government, international relations, and social policy.
  3. Personal research endeavour: embark on a dissertation project exploring a comparative topic of your choice, which could range from ecological and climate crises to inequality and justice.

Scholarships and other funding

LSE recognises that the cost of living in London may be higher than in your hometown or country. We make available million of pounds annually in financial aid for our students with both Home and Overseas fee status through a wide variety of scholarships, such as the Graduate Support Scheme, Master’s Awards and Anniversary Scholarships. Around one quarter of our graduate students receive financial support from the School.

At master’s level, the value of support given by LSE ranges in value from 10 per cent of the tuition fee to a full fees and maintenance award.
